For a start, Man City aren't even close to being the worst team I've seen at the Emirates this season; Blackburn, West Ham, Watford and Charlton were all far less offensively minded, and far more defensively pourous, and Vassell and Beasley gave us problems with their pace. I didn't think we took our foot off the gas at all after Rosicky's goal; we continued to push forward but the second just didn't come, and although Hleb did plenty wrong, he also constantly wanted the ball and made things happen - certainly one of his better recent performances. Eboue had a pretty good first half, but totally lost the plot - and his man on more than one occasion - in the second. He also offered almost nothing going forward other than that cross. This is a strange report. Cesc and Rosick were great tonight (love to see those goals from the MF!)... but Hleb was the key tonight. He did "unlock the opposition defense" of Citeh. He was man of the match. I agree with hboy.
